The Galaxy Ring will have a diet tracking mode

Many sources confirm that the Samsung Galaxy Ring smart ring has a feature to suggest a diet based on calorie consumption and BMI.

The GSMArena page cites information that Samsung’s mobile experience and home appliance departments are working together to bring the Samsung Food feature to the Galaxy Ring. This feature will track the user’s daily activities and link with the user’s Samsung refrigerator to suggest meals and diets.

With Samsung’s smart home ecosystem, even the oven is connected to the ring to produce the most standard recipes by adjusting the appropriate temperature and cooking time.

Currently, the Samsung Food application is available in 104 countries and regions. This application is derived from Whisk – the world’s largest recipe sharing social network that was acquired by Samsung in 2019.

The Galaxy Ring product was first displayed by Samsung at the MWC exhibition in Barcelona in February and is expected to launch in July with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 duo. The Galaxy Ring product design has no buttons. press, screen or LED light and known 4 main functions are monitoring heart rate during sleep, breathing rate, night movements and sleep quality. Most people who have experienced it directly say that compared to wearing a smartwatch, the Galaxy Ring feels much more comfortable.

Galaxy Ring Specs and Price

The Samsung Galaxy Ring, release date, price, features, and design:

  1. Release Date:
    • Samsung has not officially announced a specific release date for the Galaxy Ring.
    • However, it is expected that the Galaxy Ring could be showcased alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 smartphones.
    • If Samsung follows its previous release schedules, these products should be revealed this summer, likely in late July or early August.
  2. Price:
    • While pricing details haven’t leaked yet, we can make some educated guesses.
    • The least expensive Oura Ring (a popular smart ring) is currently available for $299 at retailers like Best Buy and Amazon.
    • Other smart rings, such as the Ultrahuman Ring Air and RingConn Smart Ring, have similar prices: $349 and $279, respectively.
    • Expect the Galaxy Ring to be priced around $300, perhaps slightly lower, to better compete with the Oura Ring.
    • Notably, the Galaxy Ring may have an advantage over the Oura Ring by not requiring any attached subscription fees. The Oura Ring has a $6-per-month subscription.
  3. Design:
    • We know more about the Galaxy Ring’s design since some samples were displayed at Mobile World Congress (MWC).
    • Expect Samsung to offer the Galaxy Ring in at least three colors: blacksilver, and gold, each with a glossy, reflective finish.
    • The ring will likely be available in sizes ranging from 5 through 13.
    • Hopefully, Samsung will release additional designs, including models with extra finishes and colors.
    • Notably, there’s no external indicator on the ring to guide users on how to wear it, so users will need to figure out the best way themselves.
